RevPar = Revenue per Available Room

In addition to the well-known figures of the hotel industry, such as average price and room occupancy, are increasingly both used in combination to compare different businesses. RevPAR stands for “revenue per available room” and it is regarded as a general measure for the comparison of hotels of various sizes. The RevPAR is the pure lodgings revenue per available room.

The RevPAR is calculated as follows:

Lodging sales divided by the number of rooms x days (i.e. number of available rooms).
